Interesting. The Canadian Legion is angry at anti-war activists for selling white poppies with the word peace in the middle. How come? For one, copyright infringement. Secondly, for using Remembrance Day to promote the ideal of no war.
Funny, is it not what Remembrance Day is for.
Then again, I've always found it ironic that the poppy, the symbol of peace, has caused a few wars itself.

When I asked about "what Remembrance Day is for", it really struck me that everybody had a different answer. And not only that, but everybody was utterly convinced that their answer was the one and only right one.
That's why I refuse to participate--the message I'd be sending is just too muddy for my taste.
