It looks like Gordon Campbell has decided to change some of his cabinet ministers. Stan Hagen moves from Ministry of Children and Family Development to Tourism, Sport and Arts; the former tourism minister Olga Ilich is taking over the Ministry of Labour; the former labour minister Mike de Jong is taking over the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation; Gordon Hogg is a minister of state for ActNow BC, a new cabinet position; and Tom Christensen is moving to the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
It looks like Tom Christensen must have ticked off Gordo, as the Ministry of Children and Family Development has a bad habit of chewing and spiting out the politicians that become its minister. This happens to both BC NDP and BC Liberal politicians that take on that Ministry. For instance, when Christy Clark became Minister of Children and Family Development, she all of a sudden found her own family issue to take care of (being with son Hamish) and resigned from the Legislature.
I must say, however, that my idea of a good BC Cabinet change begins by placing this woman in this position.
